The video below is a parade that they hold every year on the birthday of P.T. Barnum. This first video of 1949 was the second year of the parade. The latest movie concerning P.T. Barnum was “The Greatest Showman”. How true to life was the movie, I guess it would be anyone’s guess. But in this video, the fame singer, Jenny Lind, is in this video.

Things we thought we knew, but didn’t.
The war was just over and the NFL didn’t have a team west of Chicago and Green Bay. California was not to be left out. They had the Pacific Coast Professional Football League (PCPFL), also known as the Pacific Coast Football league (PCFL) Founded in 1940 and ceased in 1948. There were four teams in 1941, 1942 and 1948. Nine teams in 1946. It operated from 1940 through 1948. They operated during World War II.
Most noteworthy was the African American players, Kenny Washington, Woody Strode and briefly Jackie Robinson.
Some of the teams were the; Los Angeles Bulldogs, Hollywood Bears, Oakland Giants, Phoenix Panthers, Sand Diego Bombers, San Francisco Bay Packers, Los Angeles Mustangs, Richmond Boilermakers, Hollywood Wolves and San Francisco Clippers. Many of these team relocated to various other cities, some keeping their names.
